If you are new to yoga, this is a great place to begin! For those with yoga experience, the 50 minute body sensing yoga followed by 40 minute Yoga Nidra brings you back to the heart of why you love yoga practice.

Today’s yoga is often associated with physical fitness yet the practice and philosophy are centuries old. Body Sensing with Yoga Nidra is based on a mind/body practice and is designed to create balance and wellbeing.

The blend Qi Gong movements and postures or Asanas are designed to either stimulate or calm the body and mind, thus preparing oneself for deep self inquiry through Yoga Nidra.

Yoga Nidra – iRest – All Level Yoga Meditation Practice

Yoga Nidra is a deep relaxation and guided meditation that one can practice comfortably, either lying down as in savasana, or sitting up supported by a chair or wall. Yoga Nidra means conscious and aware sleep, similar to when you are just about to fall asleep.

The practice was developed thousands years ago as a means to achieve the deepest states of inner peace and relaxation. It is a way to positively recondition your mind's subconscious layers. Yoga Nidra can help with problem solving as well as enhance both intuition and creativity. The practice rejuvenates the body and mind. Studies show that 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra can have the equivalent effect of 3 hours of deep sleep.

Integrated Restoration or iRest is a modern adaptation of the practice developed by Psychologist Richard Miller and supports the scientific aspects of Yoga Nidra. More on iRest and Richard Miller at http://www.irest.us/

Qigong is a moving meditation that brings together breath work, graceful movement and focused intention to harness the vital life force within and around us.

This practice increases blood flow, stimulates digestion/elimination, bolsters immunity, develops physical strength, enhances mental concentration and provides a calming effect. Feel energized and peaceful at once.

Reiki practitioners sometimes refer to this practice as “reiki aerobics” as ones electromagnetic field becomes strongly palpable.

All ages and abilities are welcome!

The Sivananda sequence is a traditional Hatha Yoga practice consisting of chanting, pranayama (breathing exercises),sun salutations followed by stretches and a series of 12 asanas (postures) that open energy channels and chakras through the body while increasing flexibility and strength, and stimulating the circulatory and immune systems.

The sequence is always the same but practitioners can grow in their study of the method as they master each posture and explore more advanced variations of each asana.
